The Heart Of Our Homes

Hey, bloomers, glad we get to meet here again in the garden. ๐Ÿชด Happy May!๐Ÿฅณ How has this new month started for you? Do you have any goals set to achieve this month? And don't hold back. I know life sometimes tries to throw every curve ball to strike us out of the game, but this is a space for you to be free, so let's talk. Whatever your answers are, write them in the comment section so we can interact. No answer is too broad or simple for me to listen to, I'm all ears.๐Ÿ‘‚ I care about your well-being and pray you have found healthy ways to pivot life's challenges, as we are all going through our own individual journeys.

Not only is it a new month, but also a new opportunity to face and conquer the goals we set. ๐Ÿ’ชPersonally, I love the dawn of each new day, especially after a not-so-good one, or if the challenges get the best of me. There is nothing more that I look forward to than seeing the clock strike midnight.๐Ÿ•› I am a night owl to my core.๐Ÿฆ‰ Are you an early bird or a night owl?

Though I go to bed late and get up super early, something about a new day gives me a greater peace of mind. It's akin to walking into a newly furnished home that no one has stepped in. Spacious rooms with carpet lines through the floors, with the subtle fragrance of fresh paint, candles quietly burning to complement the ambiance,๐Ÿ•ฏ and sheer curtains with the sunlight gently beaming in. Can you envision this haven? Stainless steel appliances with pristine countertops and the smell of freshly brewed coffee, but I prefer chamomile tea.๐Ÿซ– Wheww, I love it! ๐Ÿ’›Do you see how simple that was? What routines propel you into the rhythm of your day? And what sacrifices are you willing to make to ensure your day unfolds according to plan? While we diligently set the stage for our daily endeavors, we must also remain receptive to life's inevitable adjustments.

The Lord showed me that some of our homes are not prepared,๐Ÿ˜ญ but this is an invitation to fix it now.

This invitation for us was given to me through an open vision. A vision is simply seeing with your spiritual eyes while your physical eyes are closed. Whereas an open vision is seeing with both your spiritual and physical eyes open. As I sat physically in my home, the Lord allowed me to see many great things I must share with you. I saw the Lord standing at my front door waiting patiently to come in. As I get up from sitting, I proceed to walk toward the door but pause in my tracks. I look around my home, and I see mess everywhere. Laundry accumulated over weeks, ๐Ÿงบ toys on the floor, empty bottles of liquid, and much more. I thought to myself, "I can't open the door just yet, look at this mess."  begin to panic pushing things to the side, throwing toys toward the toy bin, and tossing bottles in the trash. I'm in a frantic rush trying to clean before I let the Lord in.

While still cleaning, he asked calmly "Can I come in now?"❓ I stopped and looked toward the door but I was not ready as the mess still covered the floor. More cleaning, more pushing, and more sweating, when he asks again "Can I come in now?"

At that moment, I hesitated, overcome by the inadequacy of my preparedness I bowed my head in shame and placed my hand over my heart. It wasn't merely a matter of physical clutter; it resonated on a spiritual plane and I felt the heart of the world loaded with so many unclean things. ๐Ÿ’”

Consider, if a cherished friend or family member arrived unannounced at your doorstep this very moment,๐Ÿšช would your dwelling place be a hospitable haven or would they have to wait outside until you cleaned to your liking? Just as we are discussing a physical home, what about the spiritual home? What does the heart of your home look like? Is your heart cluttered with fear, resentment, or malice?๐Ÿ˜ก How do you regard those you profess to love? If you had to give an estimate, approximately how many individuals would be stuck standing outside your door? Enough with the excuses; it's time to embrace accountability as to why our homes/hearts look the way they do. There will come a time when the Lord won't wait for us anymore. That will be the day he returns. He's not coming for those scrambling around inside with cleaning supplies but for those standing with the door open inviting him in, those who have cleaned & prepared the home for him. ๐Ÿ™‡

We may not know when, but we know he is coming for us. Is your home clean enough for him to come in?๐Ÿ‘€ If not, get your supplies, forgiveness, self-control, and patience in your bucket. Obtain wisdom and ask the Lord to show you how to prepare and stay prepared. You won't have to get ready if you stay ready!๐Ÿ’ฏ Never let your guard down, it could be at that moment you leave or forget a supply that the company shows up at your door.

The Lord is asking you today, "Can I come in or do I wait at the door?" ✝

See you on the next blog Wednesday!

You are a bloomer. Bloom baby bloom, with me, Tee! ๐Ÿ˜Œ
